not sure I agree. It was a dirty fight from both fighters. The only bit that Hatton really did get away with was the low blow. That should have been a point deduction no doubt about it. Hatton clinched but wasn't really holding as such ala Ruiz.

I'm no Hatton fan, I get grief from my mates for criticising him as a B level fighter, but on here sometimes he needs defending.

Has Tszyu ever explained why he stayed on his stool?? He was getting a bit of a beating and was down on the cards (I thought he was at least two rounds down), but still could have got back into it and didn't look that hurt.

anyways i hate people for discrediting wins from boxers when it aint deserved.
kostya wanted the fight in manchester for 2 reasons
1:he could command a big payday for traveling ( for the record he got £7.5m)
2:he claimed that fighting this younger prospect in hes own backyard would give him the hunger to train harder and win the fight
plus the "dirty tactics that ricky used was stratergy but nobody seems to care about the way kostya fought in that fight
yeah there was a lot of clinching but just after the fight lat year i re-watched it and counted the clinching by both fighters and if i remember the totals ricky clinched 42 times whilst kostya clinching 38 times
and say it was floyd mayweather vs kostya tszyu for the ibf jnr welterwieght championship when really kostya was recognised as the undistupted champion and mayweather won everybody would suck mayweathers balls until they where peanuts
for big wins for floyd nobody would give a **** about the castillos and the corraleses of this world everybody would be ranting and raving on how mayweather beat the future hall of famer , the greatest jnr welter of all time kostya tszyu

we are, as a whole a bit too hard on hatton, seems like the hatton fans and brits are always back on their heels defending the guy.

"Brits"... I think that's it. If I read a thread about Hatton within four or five replies someone has to trash him because of where he comes from, something no other country has to put up with. (Did people say Morales ****** on his back-to-back losses because he's a Mexican?)

If people want to say Hatton's a "dirty fighter", then go ahead, I'll probably agree. But it's just a shame people always have to type it as "dirty Brit".

Hatton made him quit like a little girl with three minutes to go. Kostya Tszyu never mentioned getting back in the ring with anyone who beat him. That's what I don't like about him. Good win for Hatton.
Why is it wrong to judge Hatton based on his last three performances? Those were the best people he fought his entire career. Why judge him based on what he did years ago against plumbers and retired ****stars?

If Tszyu went through the 12 round the they will for sure rob him because of his safty and the safty of the judges as for Hatton that was one breakthrough for him. it a kickstart for his career in boxing.
by the 10th round Tszyu started gaining control and the fight was shifting toward him but why he stoped I dont know.

acually he's said on his own forums that if he comes back then he would like it to be at 147 against hatton. why don't you compare yourself to kostya tszyu before you compare him to a girl because i'm willing to bet he's been through a **** load more than you ever will, keyboard champion.

No, I can't recall him ever fighting dirty before Tszyu, but that just shows you what he had to do in order to beat a 35 year old fighter that only fought 9 rounds in 3 years.
