      September 2, 2016:

Terence Crawford’s resounding decision win against Viktor Postol to unify junior welterweight world titles on July 23 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas was a money loser, as most expected it would be, but it did not lose as much as Top Rank promoter Bob Arum thought it would. Arum told ESPN.com that the fight generated between 50,000 and 60,000 buys on HBO PPV but a stronger-than-expected gate helped offset losses, which he said amounted to about $100,000.

We haven't been paying for Crawford, and Manny hasn't sold well in 4eva, so I don't understand why they think this card will do better?
Crawford-Postol was a bomb. But you don't need million ppv sales for successful cards. All depends on the purses. Fights like Pac-Morales could get both fighters 7 figure paydays plus be profitable doing 250,000 buys. That being said this is going to be tough to make profitable because Crawford was making over 2million in his last fight and Horn isn't giving that belt away free plus Manny will get paid. Hell even Alvarado will probably make close to half a mil. They will take a loss on this because this sounds like a 200-250k ppv to me. What will brace them a little bit is the Australian PPV from Horn. I have no idea whats numbers they will do over there but it will help

Ffs you would think Manny would have the last say about who he fights and who he doesnt. Pac needs to draw a line in the sand and tell Arum what the go is.
I think Pac has earned the right to fight whoever he chooses not Bob.

Wilder vs. Ortiz card is much better than this, and it's not a PPV fight! When I get fight cards like that, I can't support PPVs like Pacquiao vs. Alvarado!

Showtime would have ppv if they had any fighters that could sell ppvs but they don't so they don't have any. If Joshua and Wilder meet that will become a ppv though. Not sure how much it will sell but it will be ppv
Right. I don’t buy cardigans either cuz their not my thing. Neither is paying extra for crap. And my pockets are pretty nice.

I'd rather bump Pac and just have Crawford/Horn on ESPN. Pac/Alvarado is a joke man. Manny is gonna get his first KO in a while.

"The Senator" has regressed notably in each of his last 3 fights and while unlikely, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Alvarado pulls the shocker. The other fight is easy, Crawford sends Horn on a walkabout

Yeah good for alvarado. Geez though what i wouldve given to see alvarado face a Bellator level contender like Paul Daley in the cage...
