Well, time will tell, won't it? But for the time being you can understand why he wouldn't be their #1 priority. If Golovkin still has his belts in June then it's completely reasonable to fight Saunders next... after that it should be Charlo, though I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they go for one of his other mandos.

EDIT: That said, he ain't got a particularly easy road whichever mando he takes. His other two are Derevyanchenko (IBF) and Jacobs (WBA). Of the three Derevyanchenko is the easiest fit for him stylistically and the least experienced in the pro ranks, but is still regarded as a pretty hot prospect. Expect that fight unless one of the others brings a much bigger purse. Alternatively maybe Golovkin may look for a fight at SMW if the money is right - I'm thinking about the possibility of Eubank in the UK should Jr win the WBSS. That would eclipse any of the other options in terms of revenue and probably wouldn't be a more difficult fight.

As far as i know there hasnt been a contract send to GGG or Canelo from the Charlo team. Charlo also only just arrived at middleweight when Canelo and Golovkin were already signed to fight twice... there is no reason to suggest that they are ducking Charlo because they haven't even got the opportunity to fight him at 160 yet.

Charlo is just not on their radar unless they are forced to fight via mandatories.
Those guys are the best 2 MW's around by far, and they're facing eachother for the 2nd time, they're not scared of, or ducking Charlo.

If GGG wins, he will look to fight BJS for all the belts, of course he will. BJS is more relevant. He could possibly even retire then.
If Canelo wins he will fight who he wants, thats how he does things.

Jacobs, Lem, Andrade, Sergiy D, Murata..there are good names there for Charlo to look at build up his CV if the opponents are applicable.
If he's due a shot (i'm not sure on his status) then fair play to him and good luck. But GGG, Canelo and BJS are the fights on the horizon for eachother.
