Two-division world champion Danny Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) is taking no chances when he returns next Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Snapping a near one year layoff, Garcia will return to the ring against Brandon Rios (34-3-1, 25 KOs) in a WBC final welterweight eliminator. Showtime will televise.

Yea Danny, what about those five or six times you were given gifts yourself? Goes without saying Thurman was a clear winner.

Fighting a bum won't prove anything. We will know if Garcia has anything left next time if he fights someone with a pulse not a punchbag he is fighting now.

Neither guy was remotely impressive and Shawn WWE Porter is also ordinary.

When you put 3 guys together who have collectively beaten nobody at 147, but are all about the same skill level..they look better than what they are...which is C+ level.

WW is topped by TC and Spence. These other 3 are all at least 1-2 levels below. Joe Plumber is also somewhere in that mix and Kell Brook is somewhere in that mix (Kell might be #3 tbh).

People keep calling WW the glamour division. It's not - it's a 2 thoroughbred show with a handful of horses and a bunch of donkeys (Rios, Algieri, Khan, Berto, Devon, etc.)

So Garcia is saying that he just did what he thought would be enough to win in the judges' eyes against Thurman? What kind of world champion is that??

Danny has no shame, he won't fight Crawford, Spence or Porter but he's fight a shop worn, way past his prime Brandon Rios.

Garcia is a disgrace to boxing. Take on a few more punching bags you fricken cherry picking shyt talker.

BTW, you clearly lost to Thurman. I can't wait for Spence to KYTFO!!

It's ironic he says that because he is a not a huge puncher at all but a mid range counter puncher; Who doesn't throw a lot of leather in order to score knockouts. He's at his best when his opponents are squaring up flat-footed, in the center of the ring against him and trading toe toe, where he can land that no look left hook of his. However, If one were to move and circle around the ring against him or walk him down off his back foot, then he is both befuddled and confused.
