The Parker fight is a safer fight, and gets you another belt, increasing the value of the Wilder fight.

I'm not criticizing Hearn for wanting to stall. Fighting Wilder next would have been a horrible business decision. Hearn is doing exactly what anybody with a brain would do.

So if this fight gets made you'll give them all the credit for making it will you?
Wilder wants the fight as soon as possible, so when the fight does happen, it'll be because Hearn finally wanted it to happen. You'd still have to give credit to both guys for being willing to fight each other, but ultimately it's Hearn taking the biggest risk, so yes he would deserve the most credit.

Wilder will gladly settle for less than 50% once the fight is actually on the table. He can't duck a fight that Hearn isn't willing to make yet. Hearn wanted the Parker fight first. Hearn controls the A-side. Wilder couldn't force AJ to fight him in March. Hearn is in control. Hearn wants the fight later in the year, so the fight will happen later in the year. Wilder has no choice but to wait.
Obviously you have no idea what he earns because you think he got $5M for a fight. Salaries are made public, don't pretend Wilder is getting more since there are no PPV revenues to divvy up after the fight.

Saying he will fight for anything isn't the same as signing a contract. Don't be obtuse.

It obviously isn't the same thing, I was just saying that clearly there hasn't been time since the comment to even offer a rebuttal, let alone a contract signing

We know about the five million because it was a purse bid Dibella lost. So we actually know what Wilder's real purse was. A purse that was held in escrow and released to Wilder when he won his lawsuit.

You don't need PPV revenue to hide a fighter's true purse. Hiding a fighter's true purse is standard operating procedure for Haymon. Saves on taxes. Saves on sanctioning fees. The way Haymon controls his events, it's very very easy to minimize the funds listed on the commission contract.

Stop pretending you have the inside scoop. These clowns would be bragging all over social media if they were making more than advertised.

It's common knowledge in the industry, so it's not really much of a scoop. Fighters have been sued by sanctioning bodies before for this reason. It's very difficult to prove though and the sanctioning bodies are already terrified of Haymon.

Some of these "clowns" have bragged on social media before and they get quickly scolded. The game is to be sold, not to be told. If they don't keep their mouths shut, it's their wallet that will take the hit, not Haymon's.

This is not a Haymon exclusive business method by the way. Cotto's purse for his recent retirement fight was listed at 750k. Do you believe for one second Cotto really only made 750k for his retirement fight?
