No witch hunt. Keith and Spence are in the same stable. If there were no politics and Craw had a chance to fight Spence after horn then sure that should happen and if it didn't then Craw would get hate as well.

Most likely path for Crawford will be Pacquiao after Horn, then after that Spence would be nice.

I think part of the problem is Thurman wants a tune up + by the time he'll fight again there'll be a mandatory situation. Thats the problem with holding more belts is those mandatory's that can f#ck up fights people wanna see.

But yea I wish he'd cut off the mandatory situation at the pass & fight Spence this year. "Testing" out his injured whatever the f#ck should be happening in the gym during some rough sparring & if he's not good he shouldn't be fighting anyone til it is. So I see this tuneup situation as kinda bs more than I'll hate on him fighting Porter or whoever next.

Nice post, you're right, sucks he's holding the belts hostage.

Arum says he's got no problem making the fight and why would he? Crawford's not some big money maker

By fan logic I'd agree with you, but with promoter logic I think Bud will be aimed at those 147lb TR guys on the comeup who might be ready for Bud in 2019 while Bud & his team are still talking about Spence.

I see very lil chance we see Bud vs Spence. Its not big enough as one could argue Bud will be TR's flagship guy by 2019 after a Manny W & Spence will be PBC's/Haymon's flagship guy by 2019 after he's beaten Thurman to bring the sides to any likely middle ground as their won't be enough pie to cut up vs the risk for everyone to agree. Rooting I'm completely wrong doe.

Champs should only fight champs and top 10 opponents......like every other sport playoff teams only play playoff teams... top 10 opponents are the playoff....keith is milking this.... he let his fighting do the talking before he got the belt now all he does is talk ala Mikey Garcia.... Please STFU and fight a live body

If it can be made then great.

But to answer your initial question again, if Crawford doesn't fight Spence after Horn (if it can be made), then yea I'd give him crap too.

He needs to unify with Spence at the end of this year. Period.

Hell no. He gets one tune up fight with a guy ranked in the lower top 10 and then Spence should be his next fight in late 2018 in my opinion. World titles belong to all boxers. They don't become the personal property of the current title holder to defend only when he wants to against poor opposition.Leonard came back from years of not fighting to fight Hagler with no tune up fight. It's too bad he was injured but it's his problem and not the problem of the whole welterweight division. Putting the Spence fight off for two years or 4 fights from now is ducking. After he has 3 more fights and it's time to fight Spence two years from now he can then come up with another excuse. He turned me into an ex fan.
