Jacobs isn't his own boss and they really didn't want to fight Saunders. Hearn already had a date set for Jacobs to fight in New York. Jacobs and Hearn are trying to tell the champion in Saunders that they have to agree to their terms to fight in the US. If Jacobs and Hearn really wanted the fight, they would be willing to fly to the UK and fight Saunders. Saunders already traveled to defend his title against the fighter Jacobs and Hearn were trying to fight.

BJS has the strap that GGG wants and a set of skills (not a whole lot of KO power) that Alvarez will be happy to take on after 2 straight fights with Golovkin. So, no matter who gets the win after the rematch on May 5, Saunders has himself a career best payday on deck. He has a no-worry stay busy fight to keep his name out there against Martin Murray and has actually matured some in his interviews. Sounds very knowledgeable and seems ready for prime time. He will help sell tickets and do good PR. No reason to risk that against Jacobs. Danny Jacobs needs to find the best out there he can, be VERY busy, and force someone to give him another shot down the road. Right now he is all risk, no upside.

Jacobs is higher than Saunders on the middleweight food chain. Even if only slightly. That’s the point in beating him. He would establish himself as the unquestioned top threat to the Canelo-GGG winner. That’s the point in trying to beat him. You know, competition.

it has nothing to do with the networks, a deal can be made between them just like a deal is made between two rival promoters. If charlo or saunders wanted the fight bad enough, u bet ur azz it would get made.

Dealing with Jacobs team is a complete nightmare. They couldnt even get the GGG mando made without a 3-month delay, losing an HBO date, etc. Aint nobody trying to deal with their nonsense when Danny brings NOTHING to the table.

Now if Danny was some huge draw who brought all kinds of money, then yeah, people would put up with their horse****, but he aint, and they wont.

ARE U SERIOUS??!! im sure when jacobs and his manager took the hbo deal they had charlo on their minds. charlo im sure played a huge part in their decision to sign with hbo. im sure they got paid very handsomely taking that hbo deal. his manager wasnt up for manager of the year for nothing!

the truth is danny is the most avoided mw at this time. he is too much risk to take on. im sure if charlo wanted the fight we would be talking about charlo jacobs fighting instead of jacobs sulecki.
