It's going to be a good fight but I'm inclined to say Groves is more likely to get wobbled than Chris. Gutsy performance by Groves but it will come down to who has the better chin.

he's definitely athletic. i mean ****, his father was a freak athlete. hopefully he's got a cast iron jaw like his dad so he makes up for his sloppiness. he's exciting and the sport will do well with more like him, but the flaws have got to get addressed, and i'm not sure that will happen until he faces a puncher and gets blasted.

Yea an incredible athlete, treats his body like a machine. Like you said his great jaw and physical abilities compensate for his flaws, he can be sloppy and it's not like he's a technical boxer. Groves will be his biggest test, then it he gets passed him callum Smith is a massive, young, hard hitting super middleweight who similarly relies on his physical abilities. These fights will show what Chris is all about... Can't wait

I was big on this kid until I realized he has zero impulse control and while it hasn't caught up to him in a fight that shh always lurks in the back of my mind that it'll catch up to him in the ring. If he gets frustrated he says fk it all and he can't do that against Groves and Groves is a tiny bit in his mind already.

Jr. is far from soft and he grew up in a comfortable environment, I guess many of the negative comments come from people who have never spared before.
I suck but when I catch a good one sparring you can bet your ass I’m throwing heat right back, no matter if we where just supposed to be working or not.

Natural talent I think massively favors Eubank Jr. I feel like Eubank Jr could play it safe & use his speed & Groves hitableness to make this breezy as f#ck in theory. Play it safe & lock up rounds.

The closer this fight gets the more I think the only way Groves wins is by KO or putting Eubank Jr down a couple times if it goes to decision so seemingly a war would give him a better chance to hurt/KO him.
Interesting you say that I think Eubank Jr has shown some questionable defensive ability that and he 100% struggled with BJS when he got on his bike and boxed and moved.
You might have watched Groves Vs. DeGale back then, I think Groves could outbox Eubank on the backfoot.

Eubank Jr doesn't have the one single concussive KO power that a Froch has, but he has the ability to take you into deep waters with a war and still be capable of throwing down to the last round that's sorta why I think it would be a bad idea for Groves.

Oh yea I don't disagree with you there.

But I think the speed will make the difference with Groves. I think he's got a nice speed/quickness advantage over Groves so his defensive won't be in play as much as Groves defense will be.

Or thats the way I'd do things if I was Eubank Jr, I don't discount he could think better of himself & go hard & be risky like he's been vs inferior guys. But I thought he was more measured vs Abraham (although in fairness Abraham didn't show up so Eubank Jr didn't need to be THAT measured) & I think he'll be measured vs Groves as well. Eubank Jr knows Groves doesn't suck so he's not gonna treat him like the last guy or other non-threatening or less threatening guys.

If Eubank Jr does take Groves lightly I think the chances he gets upset go up greatly.

Well I think Groves probably has equal or better power + is the bigger guy & I still don't necessarily buy Eubank Jr is a legit 168lber so I think making this fight close & rough favors Groves.

I don't see any rage here. It's like his dad is pulling him back to make him look good. Weird.
