No, he was not trying to get the cameras off Dorticos to show off his humbleness. He went to see Dorticos to give him the belt as a sign of respect, because Dorticos won that belt earlier and was still worthy of it, and because there is a new belt made for every new champion, it's not just the same ole' belt being passed around...

alot of people speak about things they have no idea about.

It wasnt about "respect", or a "publicity stunt". It is simply common industry practice.

A world title belt is like a trophy. Once "won", you never truly "lose" it. It is handed to the winner for symbolism and in-ring photo-ops, and then given back to the loser, and the new champ gets his belt from Fedex in a few weeks......

it's normal to give the belt back (gassiev will get his own copy) but i think they made a formal gesture of it because dorticos was bawling his eyes out after the fight
