Comments Thread For: Gilberto Ramirez: I Want To Clean Out 168, Fight All The Champs!

Gilberto Ramirez easily retained his World Boxing Organization super middleweight title, dominating challenger Habib Ahmed in a one-sided main event on Saturday. Ahmed's corner mercifully threw in the towel with 29 seconds left in the sixth round as their fighter was unable to fight back while being overwhelmed with body and head shots.

So the best at 168 are fighting each other while ramirez fights a guy that has never fought outside of Ghana & he expects to just sit back and wait on the winner?

I don't think anyone at 168 can deal with his size and constant pressure. He's relentless and seems to have a good chin. Who beats him? Groves gets broken down, eubank is to small in doesn't have a high enough work rate to keep him off, and Smith gets destroyed by anyone his own size

168 doesn't look very strong at the moment, Dirrell brothers faded, Abraham is just as old as the Abraham in the Bible, DeGale couldn't beat his cherry and Jack moved up.

There are a few prospects like Benavidez, Hart, Smith and Zeuge out there but they don't look very promising.

So what's left? Groves, Eubank, Ramirez and Braehmer. Big question mark behind grandpa Braehmer who has to kill himself to make weight, Eubank will win the WBSS so he's the special one.

Eubank has a great inside game, yeah not very pretty at times, he knows how to clinch and work with it, very explosive, impressive condoning and good offensive arsenal.

Ramirez is all about size and work rate. It's enough to beat most of the guys I mentioned but not enough to beat Eubank. It's an easy pick for me, Eubank beats him. Ramirez is too inaccurate and doesn't move well.
