Man 168 only 2 years ago looked so different, DeGale was champ, Jack was around, Groves & the Dirrell brothers. How things have changed. Ramirez beats them all I think. Would love to see Ramirez fight the winner of the WBSS this year. Think he would have his hands full with Groves or Eubank.Comment

Wrong, Mosley called out Fooyd at 135, Floyd didn't want it. Shane asked for a one or two month extension to recover from oral surgery and Floyd refused. Mosley didn't duck. Mosley isn't the guy with a history of ducking prime fighters, unlike Floyd.Floyd wanted to fight Shane and called him out. Shane claimed he had a toothache. So Floyd didn't duck, end of story.
Anyhow...Ramirez had a chance to clean out 168 by joining the tourney but he didn't. So I think this is all just lip service from him and his promoter.Comment

Nope.
Floyd is the one who always wanted to fight Shane Mosley. But he was considered to high risk, low reward by Shane.
This was during the Pretty Boy days when he wasn't a big draw.Comment

Shane called him up from 130 and Floyd said no. Floyd also used Shane's five losses as an excuse to avoid him even though he had no problem fighting Baldomir with nine losses.Comment

Floyd offered to fight Shane in 1999. But Mosley chose to move up to 147 instead.
That's enough derailing of this thread with off topic Floyd discussion, though.
What do you make of Ramirez claiming he wants to clear out 168 yet not joining the WBSS?Comment
