Hearn knew that Ortiz would’ve ended Joshua’s career. I tilt my hat to Wilder for testing himself against this beast. If Wilder pulls this off, he’s going places bcuz Ortiz can box.

Wilder vs Ortiz is actually the second best fight that could be made in Heavyweight Boxing. He may not have the title but until Tyson Fury comes back the top three HWs are Joshua, Wilder and Ortiz. This fight is just more meaningful and risky than Joshua vs Parker. Let’s be honest Parker seems very wild and merely eeked out decisions when fighting real contenders. Ortiz has a very real chance, and would more than likely school Parker head to head. I could be proved wrong but Joshua should be way too much for Parker.

I find those that talk the most about PEDs know the least about them and they typically regurgitate a rumor ala Floyd Mayweather and Pac to keep the story going. It takes only an inference to get reality shelved and fantasy put into place even after the rumor is officially dispelled.
Leave the PED BS for TMZ Magazine.

Dibela the assshole who sugar coat for casuals. For normal boxing fans it's natural that WBC champion will fight the best challenger but he makes it sound like Wilder is doing us a favour fighting decent opponent for the first time.
I'm sick of this farce. No wonder there are nearly zero DW fans out there, they just don't buy this crap any more.

Though probably not as Pulev was the IBF mandatory and the WBA had agreed that Joshua could fight Pulev first. So made sense to keep the IBF belt then face his WBA mandatory. Ortiz also didn't impress with his 2 fights when promoted by Hearn so it's not like it was a fight that people were clamouring for in the UK.
But of course Ortiz chose to face Wilder instead of waiting for his shot at Joshua, wonder why he did that. He also ducked out of his fight against Ustinov that would have gotten him his mandatory position sooner. For a guy who is supposedly ducked by everyone he sure does like to duck out of fights too.
Personally I think Ortiz has made a mistake in choosing Wilder as an easy route to a title. Wilder I think will beat him and then there goes Ortiz's chance at a big payday.

Ortiz is a top heavyweight and very dangerous.
But should Wilder manage to get by him I predict that some people will still try to discredit the win. The angle they will take is that Ortiz was overhyped or too old.
