Theres a reason Hunter said to skip cruiserweight. To be fair to ward he is smaller than these guys but he'd get badly beat by gassiev, breidis and usyk

That's about the size of it. It'd actually be easier for Ward to cherry pick lame duck name heavies than a cruiser in this suddenly loaded and dangerous division. And Ward will doubtless make massively more money pulling a Toney/RJJ-Ruiz.

The only cruisers near the top 15 I could see Ward getting over on would be an ancient First Aslarn or Steve Cunningham, but, then, they both long fought at lower weights.

I think even limited and busted up guys like Lebedev and Huck would just eat hunt-and-peck punches from Ward until they caught him with something, then roll right over him. I'm not dissing Ward's skill or toughness, they are just too big and Ward slowed down notably even moving to 175.

It'd be a close fight, Gassiev is pretty inaccurate and Ward is as evasive as they get.

Dorticos couldn't even put away Miranda, Ward and several others did much better vs Miranda like 9 years ago lmao.
Ward would easily be the best fighter he's ever faced, Ward is a genius.

Vlasov & Bellew are/were both in the top 5 at cruiser, Ward isn't a level above them?

Another flavor of the month. You know how it works on this site, take an up and coming good fighter, let him get a decent/good win, then start saying he can beat fighters who already have proven themselves(most times it's a hall of fame fighter). Rinse and repeat. Same old NSB
