I'm really curious as to what will happen with a lot of these guys after the WBSS. Even a lot of these guys losing are gaining exposure and stature in the sport, how many will try to go back after these belts and how many will try to make the jump to HW?

I guarantee you he already had his scorecard prepared before the end of the fight, with either 7-5 for Dorticos or a draw, and was ready to post it here and cry a ''robbery by commies''. But Gassiev destroyed his plan.
I though it was even after 8 but with Gass sweeping 9,10and 11th for a 7-4.Not sure how other guy had it 9-3 after 11????I assume it was 8-3 which is close to what I had

I know I'm already pizzed that they all gonna leave.1st off I don't see any of them becoming #1 heavy and WOW what matchups could be made.Id love to see Bredis vs Dorticos and winner and losers fight.

I think you are wrong, the Saudis are probably the ones financing the tournament, that's probably why the final is going to be held there. It makes perfect sense. That's also probably the reason why the production of the whole tournament has been stellar.

Dorticos is another guy that I think would have success in a pretty thin HW division if he wanted to go that route. But yeah, if it's just Usyk and Gassiev that move up, you will still have Dorticos, Briedis, Lebedev, Bellew, Vlasov and Glowacki fighting for the belts. Not to mention fringe tough guys like, Kudryashov, God's Power, Makabu, Mchunu, Kalenga, Wlod, Perez, Huck and Masternak. Then throw in the young guys like Tabiti, Hunter, Tapia, Akberbayev, Merhy, Ngabu, Goulamirian etc. My god what a loaded division that should keep paying us off for years to come

No, Dorticos is a 1-2 puncher, the worse to go against southpaws. Gassiev has great left hooks to the body and to the head to punish Usyk everytime he tries something

What a great fight! The kacky Cuban was taught a lesson but he's got heart. Gassiev is class act. I'm really becoming a fan of these humble Russians. I hope Gassiev is clean....

Shut yourself because I take fighter's choice above anything of your kind. If fighter gets up and says "Ready" then he should get right going forward in the fight.
There is 3 knockdown in a round rule for referries for this exact situation - Only Neglect Fighter's Choice After 3rd Knockdown.

The fighter is never gonna quit when they have heart they will die in that ring, it’s the officials job to protect them from that and that official didn’t do his job.. Even after the second kd It was clear the fight was over when they went towards the ropes for more of a beating he should of jumped in right there atleast, now dorticos is getting all type of brain scans in the hospital.
