What kind of peds do people complain about? People never bring up Evander Holyfield. There is a lot of hypocrisy. Meldanum is also debatable. I don’t know why Europe and the world treat Russians inferior. All this Olympic blocking is getting out of hand. Look at Lomachenko. He is so good that even if he did use Meldanum before it doesn’t do anything to his style. I think the world just hates on pre competition gains. If Meldanum is banned as a health risk to the individual athlete well then that’s on him. Its not a anabolic steroid for crying out loud. Everybody knows this. This is why Povetkin is fine

I believe in an equal level playing field,PEDs aren't to be encouraged..there's been enough fatalities in this sport PEDs only puts people's/boxers life at more risk, small heavyweights not being able to make it on the big stage is a little bit far fetched..mike tyson wasn't the biggest heck he wasn't even 6ft and he beat guys that weighed 250lbs,tall as 6'4/6'5,but I get your point too I still think usyk who's 6'3 weighs about 220lbs can win a heavyweight title in this crop of giant heavyweights,he's got the talent to match the sizeI agree with that! Heavyweight division is really not poor, it's just different from past heavyweight eras. Today, skill is less important and size, physical strength and punching power is more important in the heavyweight division. This is why you may be seeing heavyweights today with less skills compared to past heavyweight boxers but that's because skills isn't as important as punching power and physical strength is in today's heavyweight era. So a less skilled, but very strong and powerful boxer like Anthony Joshua is going to destroy a more skilled but physically weaker boxer like Alexander Povetkin.
Don't ever expect to see a NATURAL and a REAL heavyweight the size of Alexander Povetkin in the future ever again, that is not on performance enhancing drugs. Every REAL and NATURAL heavyweight you will see after Alexander Povetkin and David Haye retire are going to be giants who are extremely powerful and strong but lack the skills of Alexander Povetkin or David Haye. The only way small heavyweights like Povetkin and Haye can compete at the top level of the heavyweight division is if they are allowed to consume performance enhancing drugs. Otherwise, they have 0% chance of succeeding. It's as simple as that!
If that's what you'd rather prefer, then that's cool! I personally haven't got a problem with performance enhancing drugs myself if boxers consume them.Comment

I also believe in an even playing field. Either allow all the boxers to use performance enhancing drugs or don't allow any of the boxers to use performance enhancing drugs.I believe in an equal level playing field,PEDs aren't to be encouraged..there's been enough fatalities in this sport PEDs only puts people's/boxers life at more risk, small heavyweights not being able to make it on the big stage is a little bit far fetched..mike tyson wasn't the biggest heck he wasn't even 6ft and he beat guys that weighed 250lbs,tall as 6'4/6'5,but I get your point too I still think usyk who's 6'3 weighs about 220lbs can win a heavyweight title in this crop of giant heavyweights,he's got the talent to match the size
And in reality, the risks of dangers and damage to the physical health of boxers will remain the same as to whether all the boxers are using performance enhancing drugs or whether all the boxers aren't using performance enhancing drugs. The main danger is when one boxer is allowed to use performance enhancing drugs but his opponent isn't. I prefer if every boxer is allowed to use performance enhancing drugs then not only do we have an even playing field, but also more entertaining bouts.
Mike Tyson himself admitted to juicing and he was the Alexander Povetkin of the 1980's and 1990's. Without performance enhancing drugs, small heavyweights like Mike Tyson, Alexander Povetkin and David Haye will never exist at the top level of the heavyweight division in the future. Alexander Povetkin is the closest thing to the modern Mike Tyson we have had and without performance enhancing drugs, he is just a blown up and a overweight Sergey Kovalev.
So if you don't want any boxer to use performance enhancing drugs in the modern 21st century, then that's fine, as long as you're okay with only seeing muscular and big giants competing against each other with less boxing skills but with more physical strength and power. But don't also complain simultaneously that the heavyweight division is 'shallow' or 'bad' because you can't have it both ways!Comment

Pedvetkin isn't top 5 anymore since getting busted with PED's, now all his stamina and power is gone.shouldn't even be in the discussion for a world title shot but he's a top 5 heavyweight which says a lot about this current crop of heavyweights, decent boxer but a.j's size will be the deciding factor,if they fight I hope there'll be stringent testing which seals the deal of him getting wrecked by joshua
His last 2 opponents went a full 12 rounds, without his power/stamina he's nothing, he's back to the level he was at pre-PED's when he was struggling against Huck & Chambers.
Right now he couldn't even beat Joseph Parker, wouldn't beat Hughie Fury either. He'd struggle with any top 10 HW, he got rocked by Hammer in his last fight and he's no power puncher.Last edited by Cutthroat; 02-03-2018, 09:31 AM.Comment

That is simply a lie. The WBC has VADA perform year-round testing for any of the fighters ranked by them. Go to boxrec and check yourself. Neither Povetkin nor AJ is enrolled with VADA. The wba does not require the same testing.Except the WBA have exactly the same drug testing protocols as the WBC these days.
Equally, Joshua will still make a boat load of cash even if he loses to Wilder... that fight will be a best of 3 fight without question. One loss is not going to ruin Joshua's career, it's laughable to think it would.
QUIT LYING. IF YOU HAVE TO LIE TO TRY AND PROVE A POINT, IT ONLY PROVES YOU ARE WRONG.Comment

Drug cheat Windmill doesn't deserve any good payday against AJ.This has a good chance of happening. Neither one wants any real drug testing, and with the WBC out of picture without one asking for it, it isn't going to happen. Both get a chance to get back on the juice for a little bit, reap the rewards and just quit whenever they sign for a fight with real testing.
Also, Povetkin is just good enough to keep too much hate off of AJ for not facing Wilder. AJ can fight Parker, then Povetkin or fight someone easier in between. And maybe by then Fury will be back. AJ really wants that payday and he doesn't want to mess up all this money he is making every fight with a loss to Wilder.Comment
