PBC deal might take a minute

FOX just got the full Thursday Night Football package from CBS/NBC. Beyond that, they have the $200m a year standing offer to extend the UFC. With rumors of FOX/FS1 making a play for the WWE's content package from NBC (leaving NBC needing content), and the AT&T/TimeWarner merger turning Turner Sports into another broadcaster looking for content.

A wilder game of musical chairs than anyone would expect, to be sure.

Right there is what's wrong with boxing today, NBC, Fox, offers, Turner Sports, mergers, just a mish mash of gobbledy**** statements which amount to nothing but ****ty and sporadic ****ty fights.

Showtime is doing their part in delivering fights, with their full schedule already rolled out.

With the UFC deal ending in December (and WWE's own deal ending in December), so you'd imagine what ever broadcaster ends up with the deal would want to have something announced before we get near the summer (FOX just got TNF, and that was announced an easy 8 months before the chance of the first game).

Things just need to settle out.

Maybe you just don't like boxing anymore. Maybe you didn't before really either. Plenty of "boxing fans" around this site seem to enjoy talking sh^t about boxing more than watching it oddly enough to me. I don't really get it, but its for sure a thing.

That said idk wtf PBC is doing, but its clear they aren't "dying" just yet thats for sure & as many have been saying for years now. I bet I could do some searching on this site & see several cats saying PBC will be dead within x amount of time several times over lmfao.

Why alleged boxing fans are so rooting for the demise of PBC is also beyond my grasp of understanding outside of silly hate of Haymon or again boxing in general maybe. I don't really get it.
