Denis Lebedev (30-2, 22 KOs), 38 years old, is not planning to retire any time soon, according to his manager Vadim Kornilov. On Thursday, the World Boxing Association (WBA) announced that Lebedev was no longer the 'super' champion at cruiserweight and is now listed as the 'champion in recess.'

I find it funny that all roads are supposed to lead to Lebedev.

The loser of Wbss finals can beat Lebedev at this point.

He lost in a Split Decision, so not really anything decisive.

He will be a great fight for either Usyk or Gassiev.

Usyk would lose I believe and Gassieve will be another terrific fight.

If Usyk wins the tournament like a lot of people expect (I'm not so sure), you could put on a HUGE 200 lb card in Russia with Lebedev vs Usyk, Gassiev vs Briedis and Kudryashov vs Vlasov. I think I would probably explode in my pants if that happened

I disagree. Lebedev is the champ and undisputed p4p #1 ugliest motherphucker in all of boxing.

Please, for the love of god take your pants off first then. There are starving children in Africa that could use those pants, so don't be a selfish degenerate and waste a perfectly good pair of pants.

He better fight someone who lost in the tournament then in the meantime. Personally I'd rather see Bellew get the winner, but if this cat can beat someone important & look good doing it maybe he can cut in line.

The fact he didn't get in the tournament from the get go makes me give less f#cks about him. This mfer coulda tried to win this f#cking tournament instead of waiting on the sidelines for the winner.

I like Lebedev. He's a skilled warrior, but at this point all he should look for is money fights, not so much belts or legacy. He's the last generation!

                    Good luck to him.
