Floyd will never fight an MMA match. He knows they wouldn’t let him stand up for long if he started getting an advantage. He also knows one loss of any sort ruins his undefeated legacy. That being said, as a fan of both Floyd and Conor, Floyd has (and will always have) much, much more respect than Conor in the combat sports world. The span of years over their careers doesn’t and won’t ever compare, so McGregor’s “respect” comment is moot. In 20 years I doubt you’ll hear much about Conor McGregor just like you don’t hear about the legend Royce Gracie anymore. You do, however, still hear about Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Haggler, and so on. Mayweather will be in there.
