no one would buy it.. if hes looking for quick cash and huge cash at that matter it will be against conor for another 9 figure payday. its really hard for me to fathom someone turning down 9 figures for a few minutes of work no matter who they are or how much money they have.Comment

Please say it ain't so Floyd. This sounds so desperate and pathetic. You've grossed more than $600 million in your professional career. Are you saying that your pockets are so empty now that they need another refill?Comment

You are, of course, right about internet toughguys doggin great fighters unnecessarily, which is ridiculous. But I think so much of the hate Mayweather gets on forums and on social networks is essentially what he intended or knew he was in for when he took the relatively calm, slick, deliberate Pretty Boy Floyd brand and added zeroes to it by making himself the villain everybody wanted to pay hoping he'd lose. I liked his style only when the matchup was right, sort of like Sweet Pea Whittaker back in the day or, to a lesser degree, Joe Calzaghe or B-Hop. But you've got to respect the talent, even if the guy or the style isn't your thing...people don't give him nearly enough respect as a pure technician. It’s so funny seeing the couch potatoes run there mouth about a man who’s been fighting since he was a kid. It’s always the nerds who never won a fight a day in there life saying “He’s scared” lol. Even in retirement Floyd’s the biggest combat star and one of the biggest athletes in the world. If 50yr old Ray Mercer can ko a mma fighter on 2 days notice then Floyd has a chance. If they don’t take him to the ground within the first minute it’s over. You seen the difference in punching power between McTapout and Mayweather.
All that said, it's a steep mountain to climb to learn wrestling and jiujitsu at 40. Floyd's got amazing body awareness, always stays in shape, so it'll be easier. But he knows all there is to know about boxing. If he's going to fight MMA, I think he'd be better served to cherry pick a pure striker as an opponent, and even then devote himself to takedowns and grappling six days a week.Comment

attention whoring... no way he is dumb enough to try mma. Doesn't even have to be a world class opponent, your average bjj blue belt in his weigh class would make him squealComment
