you're free to make that mistake.

people who devote their lives to this full time and are paid a full time living to study the sport > idiots on boxingscene.

but you prefer the idiots on boxingscene. good for you. so you can pretend beating takam is more impressive than winning the WBC heavyweight championship of the world. kudos to you.

"Winning the WBC championship of the world" by beating Chris Arreola for the vacant title!

      LOOOOOOOLLL...

You're too caught up in the pitching of titles, and sanctioning bodies.

But hey, I don't really blame you - most casuals are like that as well. Which is who boxing promoters really cater to, because they are easiest to persuade.

Stay in school, kid.. and keep you head up!

Yes, that is more impressive that anything Takam has done. But of course, you'll try to rewrite history again.

Nobody regarded Takam in 2017 higher than Stiverne was regarded in 2014. You're simply trying to create an alternate reality.

This is a sport. The highest achievement is to win the championship. The most prestigious championship is the WBC world championship. Takam failed in his bid to win the WBC silver championship, let alone the world championship. Takam even failed in his bid to win the USNBC championship. His highest achievement is winning the IBF intercontinental championship.

WBC world championship > IBF intercontinental championship.

Most sports fans care about the championships for the same reason most athletes care about them. It's the highest achievement in the sport. Why have a sport at all if you're not trying to win?

I've probably been working in boxing longer than you've been alive . . .

A lot of talk about Fury coming back here. The question is - what kind of fighter will he be without the PED's?

People are quick to give him credit for his win against Wlad, but fail to take anything away for him being on the sauce.

Maybe Tyson Fury isn't - naturally - the fighter y'all want him to be?

His other wins aren't overly impressive either, he is also a drugs cheat who hid the evidence until after the Vlad fight.
Fury will never be the same when he's back, you can't abuse your body like that then come back the way you were it goes against science.
It only happens when u are older. Fury is 29 or something. He will be back at fighting weight and level he was. Look at George Foreman. He went like 10 years away from boxing and came back at 40 and beat younger guys.

I said it right in the first paragraph. When fury fights he is the one who gets to reclaim it back first! Basically if he returns he gets first Crack at the lineal title. Which in my mind still makes him the champ cuz he's not going to lose he's return fight.
