The guy openly vacated all his titles. Not only that he also had his license revoked, in short he wasn’t a boxer for a period. Same happened with Ali when they took his license, he ceased to be lineal until he beat the guy who fought as the no.1 or 2 against the other top two ranked opponent to restablish lineage, that happens wheh when the eventual winner of AJ/Parker vs Povetkin winner faces the winner of Wilder/Ortiz.

My point still stands it's among the boxing community(the fans) nobody can say I am right or wrong in my belief. So it's nobody got owned. You can keep the ranking systems that backs your views. And I will kept mine. He's still the champ until he gets beat or will joshua faces deontay

Except Joshua and Parker ARE fighting next month . There would be no rational reasoning why the ring belt shouldn't be on the line bc going by their OWN rules .

Joshua and Wilder are going to end up fighting for it regardless wheather its this year or next , whats the use or legitimacy of a belt when the person who they awarded it to Fury hasnt even fought since 2015 or defended a title ONCE to only postpone a champion further ? lol

They deemed Parker not good enough to have their Ring belt on the line but was o.k with Fury not fighting at all for years and him keeping it ? That is the problem and they look like fools .

They treated Fury's addiction and mental problems as illnesses.

Just like they wouldn't just strip a person who was ill in some other way, unless they didn't think he'd recover, then that's how they treated Fury in this case.

They gave him a chance to fix himself up and "heal" and now that he's supposedly done that and still isn't fighting they've stripped him.

I don't necessarily agree with them, but I understand where they're coming from.

Fury publicly announced his retiremtent years ago and the lineal title became vacant at the time.

Since the modern lineal championship is merely a notional title tracked by fans, there is no money or organization to arrange a box-off to fill a vacant title, and there may not be consensus on who the top contenders are – this is true both for boxing and MMA.

People need to accept this honestly , it’s really sad the community doesn’t know the history behind this . Fury got blacked balled into retirement undefeated and came back . So in my book he’s still the champ unless Joshua vs Deontay happens at least for me.

Floyd won the lineal 147 belt from his first fight back from retirement against Hatton even though his last fight was Oscar for the 154 belt, why can’t fury do the same?

Vitali Klitschko beats Arreola's ass in defending his belt.

Vitali retires.

WBC title becomes vacant. Stiverne and Arreola fight for it. Stiverne draws Arreola first time; second time Stiverne beats Arreola.

Wilder beats Stiverne.

I honestly can't even name Wilder's opponents who he has defended against other than Arreola (LOL), and Spizlka.
