Comments Thread For: WBC Prez Embraces The Idea of Wilder vs. Povetkin Next

The head of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Mauricio Sulaman, would love to see WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) collide with Olympic gold medal winner Alexander Povetkin (33-1, 23 KOs).

So WBC officially allowing Wilder to only fight boxers who are at least 39 years of age now? Stiverne, Ortiz and next Povetkin, all 39 yo, coincidence? I don't think so :P

Povetkin will fight AJ over Wilder as that's where he will make more money.

So what is it that Wilder is supposed to do? Joshua doesn't want it with him anytime soon and after all, he has to stay active by fighting his mandatories in order to earn a living and hold on to his title..

Stop talking crap, Ortiz is not mandatory and Wilder doesn't fight mandatory unless it's fat Stiverne.

Why is this f#cking WBC guy matchmaking all the damn time. People say Haymon is a promoter. Seems to me WBC guy is trying to be a promoter more than Haymon. F#ck this corrupt piece of sh^t.

Lets see Joshua vs Wilder next time out (assuming both win their next fight). And Povetkin can get in line. If you do some bs you go to the end of the line bro. And f#ck its HW so its not like the end of the line is even that far back, but he shouldn't be next in line for no big fight.

exactly. bum squad needs to shut his mouth and keep it moving. wilder wants to fool everyone into believing he's being avoided when we all know he's the one that's ducking aj by pricing himself out of the fight.
