As much as I like Price as a person I fear he could suffer an embarrassment that could haunt him for life if he fights Povetkin. His last fight was bad enough...

Povetkin would of never risked his mandatory position by taking on anyone too risky. He offered him Chisora and Price and it was Povetkin who chose Price.

We all know this was to build a AJ/Povetkin fight. That means a British fighter as an opponent for Povetkin. Whyte has his own mandatory position to protect, Bellew and Haye are fighting each other, Fury is coming off a loss and would make Povetkin look bad. That only leaves Price and Chisora.
