If Floyd challenges GGG and wins, is he the greatest ever?

No, I don't think so. Who is GGG in the grand scheme of things? He hasn't done anything significantly enough that beating him would make someone the best ever. It would just make him look really bad if someone as small and old as Floyd beat him. He'd be discredited so badly and his poor resume would just be magnified x100.
"Well, he never really beat anyone before Floyd, and the Canelo fight was close, and many people had Jacobs beating him..his best win was another smaller man, a welterweight Kell Brook".
Wins like JMM and Mosley would likely end up looking better, hypothetically speaking.

Why would beating GGG make him the greatest ever?? He already EASILY beat the guy who boxed GGG's ears off

i'd probably make him number 1 if he did that at his age and being the smaller man, i have him top 5 already. however if floyd fans/ggg haters (theres exceptions but they are for the most part the same) go by what theyve been saying for years, it wouldnt be that great of a win. He'd have beaten a crude overrated european plodder whos not got much more than a big punch although even thats now overrated apparantly. Hed be beating someone who got exposed by jacobs and who canelo 'boxed his ears off'.

Floyd fans are a comical bunch. They simultaneously trash a fighter while at the same time claiming that fighter was a great win for Floyd. Floyd fans have said GGG is overrated...so how would beating him make that a great win and make Floyd the GOAT?
Floyd does this himself and I don't think he realizes he is trashing his own legacy by trashing his opponents. Called Gatti C-rate...ok so if he's C-rate, how does that count as a great win? Called Mosley a desperate and washed up steroid user...if he's washed up how is that a great win?
