Vitali went in on the first ballot. Wladimir will too.

I think Kovalev, Lomachenko, and Usyk will get there.

There's only been one other; Kostya Tszyu, who like Golovkin has one Russian parent and one Asian parent.

Soviet boxers were not allowed to turn pro so you didn't have any boxers from those countries in the pro game until the early 90s. Before the new wave which started sometime around Golovkin's HBO debut, the only ones that established HOF careers were Tszyu and the Klitschkos.

Which is why I said in the last 20 years or so.

But even in the 90's, you had guys like Oleg Maskaev, Zeljko Mavrovic, etc

Being that the Soviets were allowed to fight in the amateurs during the Heavyweight golden age and before, how did they do against some of the US greats (i.e. Foreman, Ali, Leonard, Frazier, etc)?

honorable mention - Carlos Quintanna, Paulie Malignaggi, Torres, Bailey, Sosa and Maussa... All who later on went to be champions or Top 10 guys.

          Regarding Loma:

Russell wasn't in The Ring Top 10 when he lost to Loma.

Walters was #10 by The Ring

          Rigo was #1
They were quality fighters lol, I don't care what the ring says. Walters had previously just smashed donaire. That list of guys cotto beat are for the most part a bunch of B level fighters who plenty of other fighters have beat too.

Looks like Ali, Frazier, and Foreman beat Soviets in the 1960, 1964, and 1968 Olympics. Frazier and Foreman won by KO. But what are you trying to say? That Russians can't fight?

Vitali just got voted in. His induction is in June with Morales and Wright.

I think GGG, Loma would both get in if they retired today. I think it's too early to vote the others in but I think very soon we'll be saying Usyk is a lock too.

Sly is in as a celebrity not a fighter

Letting anyone in because weak candidates have been let in is poor logic.

The steel Hammer is the barometer, If he doesn't get there no other current era Euro fighter will get there as of this point in time. Calzaghe's resume will suck the air out of his record. Loma is obviously the best shot based on future work. GGG's best win is Daniel Jacobs who himself is not considered elite or p4p.

Loma shows early potential; Usyk? who is that?

Kovalev is 35 36? what can he do at this point to become HOF material
                      ?
