Most dives don't take place in the 8th round, and if this was for money, Lucas was a 5-1 favorite, so he would be the one taking the dive. I doubt Oscar wants to risk losing his promoter license bribing an opponent for Matthysse. Possibly for Canelo, but not Matthysse.

I gave him a perfect 10 for that dive. The degree of difficulty was high but he nailed it. Greg Louganis gave him a standing ovation.

Took a Dive?!?!?!? No I don't think so. Had enough after getting his bell rung???? Yes I can see that. I think the right to the temple following the left took the steam out Kiram during the first knock down and Kiram fought back out of desperation. The jab in the second kd was a solid hit and after throwing his last punch and then trying to regain his equilibrium, Kiram realized he had no equilibrium and went down. This time he didn't get back up. It happens.
