Both the opponents had only one gear...the guy fighting Linares had a macho streak , but he was in cruise control. He only stepped on the accelerator when Linares became aggressive.
Damn. I was annoyed with how unwilling he was to throw until I saw what happened when he didn't move quick enough. The right hand caught him high but it still snapped his head around.
Fight went how I expected although it took longer than I thought it would have. Kiram jabbing and clinching and Matthysse struggling to set up a shot in range. But when he finally set something up he ended it.
Matthysse's fights against back-pedallers tend to go like this. If they're not clinching every time he's in range he'll land a bomb eventually. But I think he's going to find it too hard to score consistently against these longer, taller guys at 147.
California has the second-worst judges in the u.s. next to Nevada but I thought Lucas was off-balance Rusty his timing was off he was awkward of the four so cold world body Champions I would rank him 4th behind Horn.. makes me wonder the type of opposition the Thai guy had to have over 26 or 28 knockouts must be some bad guys over there.
