Comments Thread For: Lennox Lewis Checks Wilder For Saying He'd Destroy Mike Tyson

What skills exactly did Tyson have? He was good at bobbing and weaving but carried power which he needed to be up close to land. Has he faced anyone with the right hand of Wilder? No. Wilder is almost a foot taller and almost 10 inches longer. How does he get to him exactly? I have watched a lot of Tyson fights - he won by intimidation. More hype than substance.
Educate yourself, for ****'s sake.

Why do you want to use facts when it’s the Deontay myth that you rely on to back up your argument?
We’re talking about two completely different levels of fighters here. Wilder succeeds in this age due to having yet not fought anyone of note, the weak heavyweight decision and uneducated tards like yourself hyping him up.
Put him in any other HW era he gets slept by a contender.Comment

Wilder as usual constantly trips on his PP. Anyone with a properly functioning mind, common sense, critical thinking skills... could easily go back and see all that Tyson was doing 30 years ago, and realize, no, Wilder would NOT beat Tyson. He'd be flattened in 3 rounds tops. Crazy fantasy matchup anyway, but geez, I predict Wilder's ego will be what beats him... sooner than later.Comment

No. He's 140 pounds. He's one of the best 140 pounders in the world, but obviously there are hundreds of fighters in the weight classes above him that would destroy him.
But when you're the #2 heavyweight in the world, that means there's almost nobody on the planet that would beat you.Comment

Lennox Lewis, without a single shadow of a doubt the best most complete heavyweight of all time. I'd favor Lennox over any heavyweight in the history of the sport and he stands there alone. Great advice for Wilder, comments like these could only be held against Wilder so he better stop with the nonsense.Comment
