Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia Favors Broner to Bounce Back, Defeat Figueroa

NEW YORK Adrien Broner made it clear he wasn't exactly thrilled to stand next to Mikey Garcia on a stage inside a Manhattan restaurant Wednesday. The former four-division champion wants another shot at Garcia, who beat Broner convincingly in their 12-round, 140-pound fight July 29 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. A rematch seems unnecessary because Garcia clearly won a unanimous decision, but Garcia is confident Broner will bounce back to win his next fight.

This is definitely a 50/50 fight! The biggest question, sad to say, is whether either fighter will make weight, and what the effects are from making weight? Omar has been @ 147 for over a year! If Omar wins, then we might see Mikey face Omar later this year!

I definitely think we'll see that fight. I favor Omar is this fight for two reasons. (1) he's taller/bigger with longer arms. Broner really struggles if he can't impose his size on opponents. (2) Omar throws punches. Another one of Broner's problems; he won't be active enough to win rounds.

I thought Granados got the best of him, and Omar is a step up from that.

Besides the inactivity of Figueroa I believe Broner has too much seasoned veteran knowledge to let this kid overwhelmed in the kid with a brittle hands he does not have the punching power to hurt Broner as well because he's moving up in weight... Broner by unanimous decision...

Since Mikey has a one sided win over Broner he wants Broner to do well. The better Broner looks the better he looks.

Broner vs Omar is an interesting fight at least. HTF did Broner get completely dominated by Mikey, but Broner has the better opponent?

Kind of like FIomos with Canelo... They're even out here spreading propaganda that Canelo should have gotten the win over GGG...

I hate when that tactic is used...

one sided clinics don't deserve a rematch. broner delusional AF. figeora is a pressure fighter with high volume. broner will shell up like always and throw 4 punches a round. hopefully cunningham can change that but doubt it.
