Both Spence and Crawford call out Thurman but not each other

Spence: "Thurman is the guy I want, we haven't seen how Crawford looks at 147 yet...."

Crawford: "I want Keith Thurman, he's the #1 guy at 147 not Errol Spence, the eye test can lie to you"

Both of these guys calling out Thurman, but avoiding each others names.

    I wonder why?

I think Crawford did but he'll never fight Spence or Thurman. Not in the near future at least.

Errol said he's all for fighting Crawford but said let him get a fight or two in first. One so he'll have a belt, two to see how he looks at 147. If Spence washes him in his first fight he'll get less credit... it's happened before.

I'm guessing they are each looking at Thurman as the guy with two titles and being the easier path to victory. It makes sense that each of them would want to add two belts instead of one, which would then give the winner the advantage during negotiations to fight one another. I think the only way they don't fight is if one of them moves to 154. Would be a great fight for mid-late 2019. Especially if the winner becomes undisputed at 147.

Calling out Thurman is easy because you know he only fights once a year at most.

Because Thurman is the biggest name in the division and has the two most important belts in boxing?

It would be a fight I'd love to see for sure.

How's Arum and Haymon with each other these days? Is it realistic that we can get the fight?

                    No.

Haymon will give him a guy like Molina for Crawford but not his best guys. Loma-Russell is the exception. Haymon won the purse bid and Arum went through with it.
