dont sit here and give tarver any excuses. he said himself he was in great shape and is ready to fight. dont sit here and say oh hopkins didnt beat the real tarver bull****. why do people sit here and say tarver beat RJJ the first time. dont sit here and give this man excuses take his lose and go. he got beat down. he was talking about how he is the legend killer how he is going to punish hopkins and all this crap. he didnt he got schooled dont praise him. praise a 41 year old man who looked to be 31 i mean he was more cut than i have ever seen him. yea he was with mackie shilstone but the fact of the matter is he had the determination at the age of 41 to look that good. the determination to go up in weight and take on the so called best. all of you people who doubted hops are now on his d*ck get off it bc you werent there in the first place. you all talk about he didnt beat no one. who has JC beat come on give me a break. tito was the best at that time he moved up to fight hops. DLH moved up to fight hops. two of the biggest pay days. everyone said that tito was going to beat hops. now that he got destroyed you all say that he fights smaller guys. why did tarver want RJJ to come down to LHW why not go get him in HW. bc tarver seen a weak RJJ. tarver DID NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE HOPKINS FIGHT ON SUCH SHORT TIME SPAN. he lost he got schooled hopkins did what all of you all didnt think he was going to do. bring the fight to the so called magic man or legend killer or whatever he is going to call himself now. point blank give it to hopkins.

I know that argument,I heard it and I expected it,and to a degree I understand it,it makes sense on the surface, but Hopkins DID NOT fight in a style that would wear out tarver like what happened.Even if he fought a smart fight, and boxed well,It still wasnt a hard pace.No way tarver looked like he did just by being outboxed.

Hopkins is an all time great, no doubt, but i think people are acting like he went up 15 pounds and beat another all time great.
Tarver isnt a great fighter by any means.

If you closely examine the Hopkins haters, you'll notice that most of them are either Puerto Rican /Latino. Years ago he threw the PR flag on the ground, I'd hate him for it too if he was a PR and threw the american flag on the ground. it was pretty lame especially of a man of Hopkins intelligence to do, but w/e.

Hopkins shut Tarver down. Mentally Tarver was shot because he didn't have a plan B to defeat Hopkins & when he realized that he shutdown. The 5th round knock-down was icing on the cake for Tarver & you could see it in his face when he took the count & when he went back to his corner. Hopkins broke him down physically & mentally & Tarver couldn't recover.

To be fair, I think a lot of that was Hopkins ALLOWING DLH to get his shots off.... he could have stepped up much sooner, and he surprised me with his aggression on Saturday. I'd say this was the most passionate Hopkins has been since the Joppy fight - agree?

It's very simple. If you are the best in your division for 10+ years and beat all comers in that division, you are a HOF lock in most cases.
That's very true, but being P4P/HOF and all the rest of it doesn't mean that much in and of itself in terms of ability. He impressed me Saturday night, but before then I wouldn't say he was, talentwise, anywhere near the league of Robinson et al just because he defended three times against Robert Allen. It's a bit like Jones Jr. in reverse - Jones Jr. had all the talent in the world but never did anything competitive with it.
