There's a reason Canelo choose T-Mobile 20k seat arena his last two fight over 90k Jerry's World & 90k Azteca stadium

Not having a US PPV means little. Gatti and Mayweather were two middling names who hadn’t done a PPV yet they sold 350K PPV’s.

But we’re discussing gate, not PPV. Joshua-Klitschko grossed close to 8m pounds, which is about $11m. To put that in context Hopkins-Calzaghe generated $12m in gate.

I’m pretty sure that’s what Wilder is referring to as far as Vegas. Now, we can have an intelligent conversation about it, or you can continue this fanboy desperate attempt to be right. I think if you put that aside, it would be beneficial for all.
Gate and PPV go hand in hand. Hopkins had been on PPV before against the biggest draw of his time and a couple more, it was also 2 P4P fighters. Again you're failing to see every big gate in Vegas had fighters more known in America than Wilder or Joshua.

Skysport have announce that they are televising Wilder/Ortiz live over here, they are doing their best to showcase Wilder to UK sport fans. But lets see how this all works out by the end of 2018.

So you don’t think Wilder-Joshua could do better than $11m? Before you answer, think about it. Forget about who you support, or trying to secure some e-victory and being right. Think about it.

Because he can't draw the stadium money Joshua can. If Canelo could sell out 70k and 90k stadiums in minutes every fight it'd be a different story.

It could but it's a gamble and it won't do more than in the UK. Joshua-Takam 10 mil ($14.3 million), a well promoted Wilder fight would break $20 mil.

Someone forgot to tell him how 12K seats looks in a country ten times bigger, and the fact that he only earns 10% of what Joshua does per fight. This clown is about the dumbest title holder in the sport right now.

Whether it makes more in the US or the UK makes no difference, it will be on Joshua's terms regardless.

He is the reason Vegas will pay big money to get the fight there, he is the reason it would be big in the UK.

Wilder has had a decade to prove he is a draw in the US, and he has never got anything more than decent return. He hasnt even sold a single PPV.

Also, is Wilder assuming the tickets are cheap? They start at $60 and go rapidly up from there. Ringside will be mostly celebrities and high rollers, maybe not as crazy as vegas but still. 70,000 is a ****load of tickets at those prices. Joshua isnt making $20mill+ a fight because he smiles and asks nicely. He is bringing in serious money.

Maybe you aren't familiar with the racial demographics and locations in America but Texas is heavily comprised of Mexicans. Canelo sold 51,000 tickets at Jerry's World in Texas against unknown British fighter Liam Smith. How many tickets do you think he would've sold in Texas against Chavez Jr?
