I can't lie a part of me wants Hurd to win. I've watched the guy grow each fight from the Frank Galarza fight which he was the under dog in, till now. He does leave himself open to get hit with some shots but he always finds a way to win. BUT I'm picking Lara to win this fight though he's too crafty and he can possibly embarrass Hurd if he's not careful. After this I expect Charlo and Lara to eventually fight!

Lara is incredibly skilled but he can be hit and he’s two weight classes smaller than true hurd size. I like the young boy and he certainly has a chin, we’ll see if he can wear down lara. Lara better start that road training today because I am sure he will do a lot of running

I don't see Hurd respecting Lara's power at all, I think the pressure will be too much and he wins by decision. Hurd shows flashes of a great fighter in there at times but doesn't always let his hands go.

Hurd verses Trout may have been the best fight of 2017!! Not quite Castillo Corralles 1 but damn close in up and down excitement. Was in New York and The Barclays went absolutely bananas. Judging by the split down the middle picks, this one could be fun. Hopefully Hurd can cut off the ring enough to box Lara into a fight. If Lara can’t look exciting against Hurd...then maybe he just can’t look exciting anymore? Hope this one pans out for Lara’s sake.
