Great insight, I realised the toughness of boxing in my teens as an amatuer during a gym show with a club from London that came to the gym I was doing well and then I got complacent and hurt for the first time when I got dropped by a punch I didn't see to the solar plexus I knelt down on one knee couldn't breath in or out or that's how it felt and I panicked. Made me realise my weak spots and how to deal with the same sensation if it happens again

The buzz of fighting is addictive the lack of pain at the time and sense of power i think in society we are often battered down by life experience bills work family commitments all of that doesn't matter in the ring its just the person infront of you that's on your mind nothing else I found it to be a great escape from the monotony of my day to day life at the time
