Of course GBP will, they only got the Canelo show. If everyone else had Oscar's roster they'd be tugging on penises trying to get mfers attention too. But since boxing is business based instead of sport based more often than not the strategy is never leaning towards guys matching up their top guys cuz if your guy loses your company loses value & the fighter obviously doesn't wanna lose any value to he listens to the promoter + manager who are thinking with the business hat on not their boxing gloves onComment

They're only willing to work with other promoters when their fighter is more popular and a heavy favorite. When one of their fighters has to face someone who is threat and has a chance of beating them, they are quick to ask for options or a 50/50 split knowing their fighter is the B side. They are quick to put on conditions like it has to be on their network and they have to promote it. What intrigues me from GB is that they have Linares, supposedly Oscar makes superstars, but yet they allow him to go to the UK for most of his fights and the fight isn't promoted by GB. They want a Linares/Garcia fight and quickly want options on Mikey, Mikey says no and they ask for 50/50 and GB to promote the fight. They are ok with Linares fighting in UK being promoted by someone else so wouldn't they be ok with Linares fighting Mikey on Showtime and being promoted by Ringstar? I guess they know that it will be a fight that will make money and want to be a part of it since the only Canelo fights bring in money for GB. Linares last fight was in front of 2k people at the Forum, where he was paid 250k. We won't be seeing any top fighters facing each other from different companys anytime soon especially when GB and Top Rank will want to dictate everything knowing their fighters has a chance of losing.Comment

He indicates that Top Rank would make it*problematic if they took a hard line where a fight being negotiated would have to be televised*on ESPN - regardless of the fact if another network was willing to put up more money.
I think that a lot of*success that we had last year is because we worked with everybody. We worked with PBC to do the Chavez and Canelo fight and it was very successful."
