That must be a career high for him. So fighting someone like Whyte, who's pretty much unknown compared to povetkin, sounds like smart money considering there's only one real outcome with that fight. I don't give Whyte a chance beyond the first round. Wilder has all the physical advantages. It's not a fight that's going to set the world on fire by any stretch of the imagination, but it would make decent non ppv bout for the weekend.

I agree all of us on these internet forums are just speculating about stuff because we don't really know. I'm pretty sure you're right about the taxes, all people earning that much have got a tax evasion technique or two up their sleeves.

If Whyte becomes Wilder's mandatory, Hearn pretty much will have to over pay if he wants that fight to happen in the U.K. Whyte will be the challenger and will have to pretty much face Wilder at the Barclays Center unless Hearn pays or lets it go to purse bid where Wilder will still receive around 70% of the purse. Either way, if Hearn wants to promote and have the fight in the UK, he's going to have to pay Wilder. Being the mandatory means nothing when Wilder and Dibella would be in control of the fight unless Hearn pays.

This is one of the most hilarious comments ever heard on a boxing blog lmao. They have Wilder cornered. ****en tiny ass big teeth, ****** sounding ugly ass Hearn lmao. Whyte is a ****en bum. We all know that Hearn will refuse the Wilder fight for Nishuas stiff ass and the fight with Whytes bum ass will be in the U.K......and will go to a purse bid. Wilder will make the same as what the fraud Hearn offered him. They are cowards over there. Greedy cowards.

Haymon fighters have confirmed over and over that they are paid more than is listed with the commission. This is done to minimize tax & sanctioning fee liability. So you can't just compare Wilder's listed purse on a Haymon controlled event with the offer from Hearn because not only do you not know if Hearn's offer was clean, you really have no idea what Wilder is actually making on a Haymon show.

No, it's not additional money from PPV, but he did put 11,000 people in the Barclays Center and those tickets are not cheap. He's one of Showtime's biggest ratings draws. There are clever ways to distribute money to avoid listing everything on the commission contract.
