You can't deny the fact that Mayweather ducked Khan.

lmao careful now before you get 13+ pages of folks who can't answer to whether Maidana brings more money than Khan or notYou just can't deny it and it's a shame because it was a great match up. Khan had everything to give Floyd problems. And Floyd didn't have the power to knock Khan out.
It would have sold at least 1.5 millions PPV if not more. Floyd can't say money was an issue.
Floyd for sure fought a lot of fighters, has a great resume, but he ducked Khan.

This is the only facts that am going by, someone talked to me here about reading comprehension. But they come up with other bizarre things that was irrelevant to the thread. Facts are fact, whether Mayweather stops him or not is another story, but Mayweather himself set up a poll, and he went with the loser of that poll. People can laugh and try sidetrack or downplay it all they want. But you can’t erase those facts.Comment

Its a hard one for me, but when you set a poll "Who should i fight" Khan or Maidana and then pick the other guy then that had to be questioned. I know the answers you are going to get would be "He would KO Khan", Who da phuck is Khan doe etc But if we stick to the facts of the matter then yeah it was a duck.
He would have sold more than Maidana for sure, but maybe they thought Khan speed would bother Mayweather. I know he can time Khan but would he be able to KHTFO?Watch out for these guysYou just can't deny it and it's a shame because it was a great match up. Khan had everything to give Floyd problems. And Floyd didn't have the power to knock Khan out.

lolIt is idiotic, to say that Floyd avoided Khan. Maidana dominated Broner and had a very close fight against Floyd. Khan was fighting the Collazos and Julio Diaz's of the world. Plus before that he got KOed silly by Garcia.
Only fan boys thinks there is money fighting KhanComment

There's nothing to deny. He didn't want to fight him and he chose not to fight him. He mentioned fighting Devon Alexander and chose someone else. He mentioned fighting Kareem Mayfield and chose someone else. Did he duck them too? He said the fight between him and McGregor wasn't happening and then they fought. Mayweather says/does things and then go in a completely different direction.
Does anyone really think Mayweather's legacy got hurt because he didn't fight " Glass" Khan?Comment

Am actually laughing hard right now lol, what’s so hard in being objective and just putting it straight? People are going left and right just because they are big fans of Mayweather and Khan is a joke, am a massive fan of Mayweather too but I can admit to facts that are in front of me.lmao careful now before you get 13+ pages of folks who can't answer to whether Maidana brings more money than Khan or not

umm floyd picked maidana because khan lost every other poll out there. maidana was winning the mayweather website poll until khan put out a tweet urging his followers to vote for him. and he has millions of followers compared to maidana who has little social media presence.
Maidana 78% - Khan 22%: Fightn***
Maidana 57% - Khan 43%: Ring**
Maidana 82% - Khan 18%: ESPN Deportes
Maidana 62% - Khan 38%: ESPN
At the Mayweather Promotions website, Khan beat Maidana 57% to 43%.
and if you do a quick search of how this site reacted to the poll results it was overwhelmingly negative. posters saying the poll was rigged and how khan was a cherry pick.
maidana was red hot at the time. he had a strap at 147. the last fight for khan at that point was him struggling vs julio diaz so he was deemed unworthy of a floyd fight by the majority.
so basically the majority of fans wanted floyd to pick maidana.
in the case of pacquiao/horn NOBODY but arum, horns people and Australians wanted that fight. EVERYBODY outside australia labeled that fight absolute horse sht. yet still manny picked him.
Exactly! So much good shlt in this post. These dudes need to use the search function and go back to see what people were saying about the poll and about the results. Then they will see the error of their ways.
They also need to rewatch Khan vs. Diaz in which he was dropped, rocked, and looked like shlt.Comment

First of all, Khan was losing the poll by a large margin and caught up and won late because he begged his large twitter following to go and vote. This can be verified. This is the only facts that am going by, someone talked to me here about reading comprehension. But they come up with other bizarre things that was irrelevant to the thread. Facts are fact, whether Mayweather stops him or not is another story, but Mayweather himself set up a poll, and he went with the loser of that poll. Not only that, but Mayweather's team stated explicitly that they took into account the other polls. A statement from them on this can be found on this very site:
Mayweather explains that Khan may have won his poll, but he also looked at other polls where the British star was being blown away by Maidana in the voting.
"He was the winner of my poll, but on other polls he was being blown out," Mayweather said.
MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe, explained the details with Floyd's recent poll, where fans were allowed to vote for his May 3rd opponent. The two choices were Amir Khan and Marcos Maidana. After all of the votes were tallied up, Khan held on to a healthy lead to win the poll.
Third, there was a large majority saying either that the poll was rigged, that he already planned to fight Khan, or that Khan didn't deserve the fight. So if he picks Khan, same thing happens but worse with people claiming he was ducking.Comment
