Buy we all know that's how Top Rank gets down. Especially at WW. Certain fans will act like it's impressive though.

And even then I suspect it'll be harsh getting the sides to agree if this is a ESPN or Showtime fight.
It's not just about the belts but the cash has to be right. The fight between Crawford and Spence isnt going to be made right away. It has to be a big hit at the box office for it to be worthwhile. At the moment only boxing fans know these guys, they need to be crossover stars first before the fight can be made. Probably explains why Spence wants Canelo, that will give him the status he wants to start earning real money. If Crawford fights Pacquiao he will also get into that position so maybe these 2 can fight in 18 months time.

It all boils down to the fighters wanting the fight and if they bark loud enough about it. They are both trying to be the best in the world i see it happening within 3 fights

Nobody beats Crawford at or below 147.

Crawford ain't even tested the waters at 147 yet. Spence and Thurman seem to understand that..slow ya brakes

This is a potentially huge fight. If it doesn't happen in 1-3 years tops, something is terribly wrong with boxing.

At the same time though it's not like Al or Spence's team are trying to make a Crawford fight right now either, not because they're afraid more so than it still needing to build up. Thurman vs Spence is still a much easier fight to make for obvious reasons (Same management / Network/ Unification fight). While Arum is a stubborn old man he also knows Crawford vs Spence is a HUGE fight when it comes down the pike. It'll inevitably happen but right now it's not the "peak" time to do it.

Which is why after Crawford beats Horn they NEED to figure out how to resolve to issue with PBC / Top Rank co-promoting for BIGGER fights. We've technically seen smaller collabs with Felix Diaz and John Molina who were both Haymon guys that fought Bud but weren't evenly the star attraction to Bud. But in an instance where Bud can fight Porter, Danny Garcia, Jessie Vargas, Berto, Devon Alexander, Broner, etc BEFORE fighting Spence those guys will need to get paid more than 500-600K which is what most of Bud's opponents have been getting, and Arum admitted that when mentioning collabing to make big fights be it Mikey vs Loma, Bud vs ______, etc. But money ALWAYS talks, BS walks so we'll see.
