Let’s see he kept him away from the biggest payday possible for him vs Stevenson and getting a title which would make him more valuable. Yeah while he was mandatory Robert Berridge and Norbert Dabrowski were huge paydays!!! Lmaoo. And now he has him walk away from elimintor. Haymon protected Stevenson and sold alvarez out. Well clearly they were as Alvarez chose to fight them because the purses were higher.

Alvarez wasn't forced to step aside. He was offered very generous purses to defeat Canadian legends to help build his name so the eventual fight with Stevenson would be worth even more.

Pascal has a much bigger following than Stevenson. Alvarez raised his profile considerably by getting Bute & Pascal's scalps on his resume.

Alvarez was not forced to step aside. He chose to step aside because doing so was more lucrative. This is a business. Stevenson vs. Alvarez two years ago was not a big fight. Nobody knew who Alvarez was. Now people know who he is because he faced two big names and beat them both. This is how you build a fighter.

Oh PBC... never change... never change... that was one of the only good fights coming up on Showtime, and Badou Jack's whole rationale for ducking Bivol and dropping the WBA... if they're not making that fight, they should have just made Stevenson-Gvozdyk immediately. The WBC jumped over Marcus Browne, Joe Smith Jr, Karo Murat, Blake Capparela, Isaac Chilemba, and Thomas Oosthuizen to get to Mehdi Amar, a guy that no one had heard of, was checking for, or will be heard of after this fight.

i think arum wants to win the purse bid when gvozdyk times cmes and have stevenson stripped by placing the fight in america...BOSS MOVE TBH...al haymon has played this dirty game by trying to have ggg stripped due to network stuff, so it's kind of fair play...al is broke and showtime isnt interested in spending money on a 40 year old stevenson no matter how fun his fight could be

if u read between the lines u'll see that he'll never have to go to canada if stevenson is still the champion...arum will have stevenson stripped and it will go down a huge boss move
