If you're talking about height, then correct. They aren't the same size. Weight wise they are very close. Mayweather has chicken legs and Manny's legs are massive, according to those who've seen him in person. If you look at their rehydratoin weights, they are very similar as well.

I haven't argued that he faced prime elite fighters that are 30 pounds heavier. I was asking why you were bringing that up in the first place? This is about Freddie Roach saying he'd rather Pac avoid Crawford and fight Loma instead. I seriously doubt Crawford is 30lbs heavier than Pac. I'm not sure what Crawford rehydrates to but Pacquiao rehydrates to about 152. I don't think Crawford rehydrates to 182lbs, does he? From a quick look, all I found was in 2016 he rehydrated to 157.
No one is playing victim, it's just a fact that you initiate contact with me every time, yet you are saying I am obsessed with you?

As of last month, Crawford was 177.

Loma is definitely closer to Manny's size than Crawford, and Loma is at least an inch taller. Either way, no one can fault Pac for his willingness to fight Loma at 140. That is not an easy fight for anyone, let alone a fighter past his prime.

Last I heard, a poster was saying something like he was being weighed around a time when he was inactive. I'll check the video in a second.

But what's your point? They both fight at 147. It's better for him to drag Loma up than have a guy fight at 147?

Do we know how much Crawford rehydrated to in his last fight?

Ok. Ego also mentioned the same thing the other poster said. This could just be because he's chilling on Christmas vacation. There's no doubt about it, though. He's a big boy.

But I seriously doubt his in ring weight when he weighs in at welter will be 177. Don't see that happening at all. I could be wrong. Let's see if we get a fight night weight for his match with Horn.

Still....I don't see much of a point. Pac should be fighting at 147. If he can get down to 140, so be it. Dragging Loma up to 140...not sure that's the right move for Loma but if he wants to do it, hey, I'll watch it.

To then guy on Floyds ****, understand that if you are one, taller, and two, have a bigger frame, you will ALWAYS be heavier on fight night vs the smaller guy unless you are a complete dumbass.

Don't boxers have a saying that goes something like, if you aren't struggling to make weight then you're in the wrong division?

Seriously, pacman who is like 5'5 was fighting a guy, horn, who is like 5'10". GGG is 5'10. That's basically a middleweight vs light weight.

Size does matter. Not just "weight". Like seriously look at Floyd vs McGregor.

Crawford is 5'8" and McGregor is 5'9". At 154 he says himself he probably fights at "170". Therefore its not completely outlandish at all Crawford could weigh in the same range.

These fighters drain themselves to make weight. They don't just walk around at 147 and fight at 147.

Like literally, the funniest thing is most of the people in this thread probably don't even box or train at all. Yet somehow they know how easy it is to cut or gain mass. Jeez.

Loma could absolutely make 140 if he wanted to, but the fact is that he doesn't want to. He sees no upside to fighting Pacman at this point in his career. Lomachenko also didn't bully Rigo into anything. How quick we are to forget the guy, Rigo, who talked **** for years, was offered a fight a 126, made excuses, was rated on a lot of people's p4p list even at his age, 38, and was called a defensive genius who had jaw breaking power.

Yet Loma already knew this fight would mean nothing, it was a fight the fans wanted and then he proceeded to embarrass rigo. So in the span of 6 rounds he went from this ****ing God of a fighter to absolute trash. No one gave him credit, he didn't even give himself credit.

Now someone explain to me why he would do this again? He gains nothing.

Are you referring to May/Pac? This can't be verified, but Mayweather claimed he was 149 in the ring while Pac was...152 I think...?

I can't remember what he said Pac was, but it turned out that it was accurate, as it was reported by others.

I'm not sure what exactly is meant by bigger frame. I know Manny has a lot of weight in his legs and Floyd has chicken legs. Looking at their rehydration weights, it's certainly believable that Manny was heavier than Floyd though Floyd is taller. Remember, Floyd was only 150 for Canelo.

They were each about one inch taller. Oscar was nowhere near his prime, and Corrales was nowhere near Crawford's level. I'm also talking about Floyd at the end of his career. For Floyd's last two fights he wasn't looking to mix it up with Thurman, Spence, Garcia, Crawford, etc., he was taking on Berto and McGregor. Yet, there are posters who insist on this double standard that a shot Pacquiao should be taking on Crawford.

Who would you prefer Pac fight? I think he should just rematch Horn and call it a day. Even if Horn loses to Crawford.

I agree with you. He doesn't belong in there with Crawford, but also not dragging up Loma to 140 in one of his next 2 fights.
