What if he loses, Saunders moves up and Jacobs fights GGG then moves up? What then? He's not beating the Charlo brothers.

If he loses in May, the return fight is against David Lemieux in September anyway, a fight that'd still be on PPV at this point.

I barely watched pacman vs horn and that was sad. He was walking through mannys best shots, the same shots that ko'd Ricky hatten. Horn is trash, I still can't believe Manny didn't knock him out. Not going to be a blockbuster, but with Alvarez's PPV audience being what it is, Lemieux still having value in Canada, and Lemieux happy to stand there and punch it out with you, 600k-750k PPV buys isn't unheard of.

Decent US PPV, decent gate for the event, Canadian PPV, event sponsors, and Mexican TV, and Alvarez/Golden Boy Promotions will likely be left still splitting up $40m between Saul Alvarez, Lemieux, and Oscar.

Oscar could be back on the blow all he wants; Saul Alvarez seems to have picked up enough from Floyd and Cotto to not let any of that affect his own money.

Which is why I set that as the ceiling for such a fight; still, Alvarez's Mexican TV deal is worth a ton of money, the Tecate deal is worth a good bit of coin, and Jerry Jones' thirst to be a part of the Saul Alvarez show will guarantee a sizable US gate whenever the fight ends up.

Before counting a single US PPV dollar, you're likely already looking at $25m-$30m in the pot.
