Imo, GGG's game plan was to beat Canelo on points, not by KO, because he knew that if he won by KO there would be no rematch.

But it's definitely possible that the draw was predetermined. With so much money on the line, you would have to be very naive indeed to rule that out.

It's quite the opposite, stamina is something you don't just have, it's something you have to work hard to get. Consistency is king here, nobody is born with great stamina. Nobody.

Canelo has been boxing for 15 years.. His physiology is set. He's not going to see an improvement in stamina. His best chance is to stay off the juice and come in light and game plan to win a decision. Less weight to carry around and less muscle to feed.

He says himself he lacked the talent in the beginning of his basketball career, but worked harder than anyone else to be the best ever. Abel Sanchez says GGG is the hardest working boxer he’s ever had, he has to slow him down sometimes because he would overwork himself. Do you think he woke up one day and it came for free? His brothers used to make him fight grown men as a kid to toughen him up. He was fighting people above his strength and power so that probably gave him the work ethic. Tevez and Di Maria run non stop. They don't take breaks or wait for service. The back track and mark the ball, and then do lung bursting runs to attack the opposition, and then back again when the ball is lost.

There's no way Ronaldo does more running. He's the best (he and Messi), but when it comes to stamina and work ethic (during a game), no one does more than those two.
