GGG almost killed Rosado, broke Kell Brook's face, decked and UD'd Jacobs and 80% of people who gave an opinion on GGG vs Canelo - including a stadium full of Mexican fans - think Golovkin should have got the win.

Rosado had the fight stopped on him, in he debut at 160lbs, because his face fell apart, as it's been accustomed to do in recent history. Kell Brook busted an eye socket early, kept fighting, and the fight was only stopped when Kell's corner could see that he couldn't see.

Jacobs was a close decision, as was the Alvarez decision, but Golovkin headed into these fights as someone folks had been chirping about being in the top 3 of middleweight fighters to ever put on gloves, lol.

Canelo Alvarez, the short stocky 154lber who slow-walked his way to the full middleweight mark (and is the unquestioned biggest draw near the weight and arguably the biggest draw in the sport), is on board with fighting again and, again, Golovkin and his camp are chasing down every deal point.

No threat of fighting Billy Joe Saunders (to achieve the goal that they'd been chirping about for years; obvious as day that they don't want that slick smoke), no talk of any weight/any time (since they never actually believed any of that nonsense either), etc.

The career middleweight, is set to again face an evolving fighter, and they know that this is Russian roulette at this point (Alvarez and Jacobs could beat Golovkin in rematches, Billy Joe Saunders' style is so slick that Golovkin will never get the chance to set his feet, Demetrius Andrade is a nightmare matchup for Golovkin when he's on form, and then you've got young fighters coming through the pipeline (Charlo, Derevyanchenko, Murata) that he's been mandated to see).

Confidence is an interesting thing to notice, especially when you see a fighter and his/her camp not really be confident .

No he just wasn't falling for the distraction jabs that weren't doing **** to him. All he cared about was the power punches, which he did a great job of making Golovkin miss. So much so that Golovkin fans can't even find any for their Gifs or videos.

Mmm ... Canelo didn't fight Jacobs and he hasn't fought any of the other threats you mentioned either. His promoter even came out and said they weren't interested in BJS.

But I guess being the biggest draw in boxing gives Canelo a pass on all those tough fights.
