I feel that a lot of Eddie Hearn's target audience for his Joshua PPV's can be deemed as casual fans. So if Hearns were to get Povetkin on his card, the fans who will be buying a possible Joshua - Povetkin fight will get a little taster of him.
An ideal situation for Hearn would probably be Povetkin knocking out Price, looking dangerous and appealing to Joshua's casual fans in a future match-up.
To try answer your question mate, as a whole the uk boxing fans (hardcore fans) keep up to date with the whole of the sport and are clued up i feel. But i think Joshua fights bring a lot of casual fans, guys who wouldn't normally watch many fights, and wouldn't know who guys like Povetkin, Takam etc are.
I may be wrong, but it's what i tend to see :ANYWORD:
That makes a lot of sense then. It's near impossible to fill Wembly with die hard fans, but it's easy to fill it with a lot of casual "drunk fratboy" type of guys who are just fans of a person.
