tarver could still beat joe calzaghe, but we all have to admit that b-hop is one of the best ever. he would kill roy if they fought now. he looked incredible at light heavy. it was just like the trinidad fight. he toyed with tarver in the late rounds.

Yeah I think Bernard would whoop Roy unless Roy got courageous and fought like his life was on the line. But I think Roy is finished.

Hops would not kill Roy. Roy is not Tarver. Roy has a style that makes it hard for Hops to hit him. Roy does not stand straight up like Tarver.

Would I favor Hops to win? Yes. But that's only because Roy has not aged as well as Hops, for obvious reasons.

roy's chin would not hold up at this point to a strong light heavy b-hop. that's why hop would win., roy's style just doesn't translate well into older age

That may be true, but Hops barely throws much, and would not body Roy around like he did the slow footed Tarver. Hops is not a strong lightheavy at 41, although he is tough. His punches are nothing amazing as far as power goes.

Neither are the punches of Glenn Johnson, who left Roy unconscious.

I was hoping Hopkins would win and got my wish.

Haven't seen the fight but I read that Hop could have ended it by KO but the veteran lion played it safe by whooping up on the younger man for the rest of the evening. Hop was merciless.

Bernard Hopkins humiliated Antonio Tarver. I couldn't see how they gave Tarver a round.

Hopkins took away Tarver's jab, and had him completely confused. Hopkins used his slick ring savvy and made Tarver look foolish.

What a stamp on a hall of fame career. Bernard Hopkins jumps from 160 right to 175 facing the man at Lt Heavyweight and schools him. Kudos to Bernard, who is now without a doubt one of the greatest fighters of his generation and an All Time Great.

I didn't catch the interviews right after the decision was read. What did each of them say?
talking all kinds of **** prefight of course...now what's he got to say...anybody (Hopkins) who is my age, schoolin' someone younger with less experience is always pretty to see...I have never given Hopkins the respect I now believe he deserves...He made a hige statement Saturday night...cant wait to see what he does next....
