  • Hopkins makes Tarver his *****

I waited until today to watch this fight because my friend has a huge theatre system installed and I've got to say that was outright shocking.

Bernard Hopkins humiliated Antonio Tarver. I couldn't see how they gave Tarver a round.

Hopkins took away Tarver's jab, and had him completely confused. Hopkins used his slick ring savvy and made Tarver look foolish.

What a stamp on a hall of fame career. Bernard Hopkins jumps from 160 right to 175 facing the man at Lt Heavyweight and schools him. Kudos to Bernard, who is now without a doubt one of the greatest fighters of his generation and an All Time Great.

I didn't catch the interviews right after the decision was read. What did each of them say?

Tarver said basically nothing-he was obviously humiliated.

Nard said that he would never entertain a Roy Jones fight and that the only guy that could possibly get him out of retirement would be Antonio Tarver...go figure.

I have to say that I am upset with myself a bit for not clearly/loudly picking Hopkins before the fight...I thought it was a U pickem and looking back on the fighter that is Antonio Tarver I should have smelled a domination brewing.

Roy Jones would never have lost a round to Tarver, the real Roy Jones that is and Bernard is still basically the same fighter he has been for the last 5 or so years-he has kept it together...he is 5 times the fighter that Anotnio Tarver ever thought of being and Im upset with myself for not seeing that until about the 3rd round.

What does Antonio Tarver do now? What is Joe Calzaghe's next move? If Frank Warren offered Bernard 15 million to fight in Wales would he go for it?

Tarver played everyone, and now is in Brasil sipping on lemonade with DLH money in the bank.

It would be nice to see you give some credit to him for that astonishing preformance.

You've always been a Hopkins hater and that was far and away a triumphant note to end his career on.

From 160 to the man at 175 and utterly embarassing him.

Give some props where they're due scappy ol pal.

Tarver made it seem like he wanted a rematch. He blabbed about how he is undefeated in rematches and **** like that. He talked for a bout 30 seconds, he was really embrassed.
          It was quite funny.

I was really hoping he'd blame the weight, but I guess he's not that ******.

How did little Diego ***o take it?

            Humble pie indeed.

You can make a case Nard won every round.

He humiliated a guy that was in his prime and was the undisputed lightheavy weight champ of the world...he made Tarver look so ordinary that the Hall of Fame and the name Antonio Tarver may never be mentioned again...

Tarver's career could have been ruined last night!

Yah, in the post fight he said he felt tired, slow and that he didn't have much power ... so he didn't exactly blame the weight directly, but I think he was hoping people would do it for him. I think he wanted people to stand up for him the way they stood up for Roy Jones after his first fight with Tarver.

That's more like it, it's starting to sound a bit more like props!

Yeah those are some props but man oh man I would love to see my boy get a crack at him.

Should Joe go after Tarver or is there any point to it now?
