Hatton was a severely flawed fighter. He attacked with little regard for defense. He reached in a lot to try and clinch... he kept getting caught trying to reach in and grab Pacquiao.

His style worked for about 3 rounds against Mayweather. It didn't works at all against Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was much better and Hatton's face first charge in style was made for him. Pacquiao hit him flush with perfect punches.

Hatton just went ape shlt and didn't follow the game plan nor was listening to whatever Mayweather Sr was telling him. He fought like a complete idiot.

            Handspeed is a mother****er.

Plus this was absolute peak manny.

Also, if you rewatch it, the 10 second warning for end of round happened, and hatton let his guard down and though him and manny could stall for a few seconds then go back to corners.. but manny jumped on him as soon as hatton lowered his guard for a fraction of a second.

Still one of the most spectacular and shocking big fight ko I have ever seen

Pacquiao was just too good, too quick. Obliterated Hatton. I was worried for Hatton for a moment there, the final punch was brutal.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. gave Ricky Hatton absolutely nothing as a trainer. In fact he made him worse. Tried to completely change Hatton as a fighter in a couple of weeks. Also Manny Pacquaio was on PEDs.

Hatton dominated Paulie Malinaggi when he was with Sr.

Pacquiao-Hatton back in 2009 was viewed as a 50-50 fight that might be a classic. Yeah it was a classic, a classic Tyson-Spinks scenario then all of a sudden excuses came out.

People back then debated back n forth on the forums on who might win, and they didn't have the tune back then about Hatton than what it is right now.
