Comments Thread For: Spence: If We Keep Winning - Crawford, Thurman Fights Happen

In recent months IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence (22-0) has seen his name linked to WBC/WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman and former lightweight and super lightweight champion Terence Crawford, who is making the move up to the welterweight division in his next fight. The Texas native has been very open in his interest in facing both men. He has never backed down from wanting to face the top competition at 147 pounds.

Spence vs Crawford is definitely a huge fight.
Fans are hungry for these types of fights.
Question is when is it going to happen?
    Five, ten years?

Over a year ago on this board I kept saying Spence/ Crawford is going to be the biggest fight in boxing and soon it will be.

Spence Jr. vs. Crawford is THE FIGHT! I haven't been impressed by Thurman since the Soto Karass fight! Thurman could change all that by knocking out Shawn Porter!

If you don't like Spence, you don't like boxing.

Very rare these days to have a champion who is not about protecting his belts, and wants the best competition available.

Never once heard the dude mention money being right, or hiding behind networks or a promoter.

Of course he's just began realizing the fruits of his labor, so we'll see if he maintains that same level of hunger. But so far, so good.

Spence needs to ensure his actions match his words/intentions. If they do then he will be a refreshing change to the modern boxing landscape.

Do I need to go into a long list of fighters and big fights Arum has put together with his top fighters? Ray Leonard, Hagler, Duran, Hearns all fighting each other multiple times in the 80's, then he turned De La Hoya into a ppv star in the mid 90's abd Arum threw him in with cesar chavez, pernell whitaker, shane mosely, Felix Trinidad and a bunch of other Top fighters. Then Floyd came and then left because Arum wanted him to be in tough fights. Then Pacquiao Morales Barrera and Marquez come and he makes them all fight each other 2-3 times each in legendary fights. Arum is all about making money, and if a Spence Crawford fight makes a lot of money which it does Arum will make that fight. Haymon wants his top fighters to fight B and C level fighters once a year its no comparison
