Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Steamed Over Khan vs. Frampton TV Head To Head

CARL FRAMPTON faces former four-weight world champion Nonito Donaire in a cracking fight on April 21 in Belfast. It is just a shame that boxing fans have been made to choose yet again as it clashes with Amir Khan's return to the ring on the same night in Liverpool. Boxing doesn't need to dilute its audience any further by running big shows against each other on the same night.

I'll rather go watch frampton vs donaire because there's going to be more action and it's more close in competitiveness if donaire brings it than watching khan beat up a tomato can,no thanks

Khan will be fighting a bum or a has been. Quiet disappointing really. Good fighters choose people like Marquez as tune ups the way Mayweather did.

Shame we can't have a third event on that night: Warren v Hearn. I'd have to give the edge to Hearn due to his youth and the fact he has a few amateur bouts in is earlier days. Old fish eyes is a sneaky one though so it's a close fight!

Frank warren trying to sell Nonito, no offence to nonito but Frampton is fighting the shawdow of the real one. And why he is scared about Khan retunr colliding with his card? I thought Khan was a nobody and if that is so then you don't need to worry or moan about it.

He has a point but surely the responsibility is with him. He and Hearn should be contacting each other when they have bigger cards in the works to make sure they don't make fights on the same day and split the audience. They're rivals but it's in their interests to at least send emails back and forth and avoid this kind of problem.

This is never good for business, not good for the fighters and not good for fans. Both fights will lost viewership because of this.. Obviously Frank will take the bigger hit even though Khan is most likely fighting a washed up fighter (some will call Donaire washed-up, heck they even call Frampton that) but Khan is by far the bigger name and coming out the jungle he's got alot of momentum, his name was literally everywhere.. There wasn't a day where someone wasn't talking about Khan so they Jungle appearance really helped him.

Marquez had no business with Mayweather that night or any night. The weight disparity was big yet the skill levels were miles apart. Quiet the tune up for Mayweather alright. Khan is liable to toy with his opponent no different.

Khan is coming off a loss after 2 years, and a KO loss (one of the most brutal KO's of the year at that).

Let's be real, he isn't gonna fight a top dog nor should we expect him to.
