Those other guys dont have heart, Paulie Malignaggi showed his heart and lost like a man. He kept fighting even with broken bones and he fought pretty damn well. Cotto only made the guy stronger.

Like some of the other posters have been saying, If Paulie was looking for a big one time payday he could have just called the fight. Noone would question it as his face was crushed but he fought on. Hes a young man at 25, has his first defeat now and will only get better.

I will definately be watching Mr. Malignaggi from now on.

    EDIT:

Cotto destroys A and B level fights, destroys them!!! We all know that and we all know he packed a greater punch last night with those four crutial extra hours to pack on the pounds. Paulie has a great chin, we wouldn't have known that if he didnt take the beating he did.

He will definately be a contender in the 140 division, its a weak division now that Cotto, Mayweather, and Hatton have moved up. I dont see how he wont hold a belt in the near future after this performance.

I think you guys are overduing it with this heart thing. That works in other sports but in boxing, you can have everything beat out of you know matter how big your heart is, e****ally if it happeneds early in your career.

Look at Reid & Vargas after Tito. They were never the same and have basically look shot since and both of those guys have heart. I dont think Cintron is that good anyway but if he is then I still doubt if he will ever be the same. Michale Grant after Lennox. Taylor after Chaves.

Paulie was on top of the world in his own mind and thought no one could do that to him. He showed well but he took a beating in the process. A beating is different then a loss. If Cotto wasnt that big or didnt have much power and he beat Paulie then that would be one thing but when you take a massive beating, its hard to come back for alot of guys.

It can go either way and the good thing is that he's a slick boxer, so he wont have to get hit as much as other guys who come back from beatings but it still will be difficult. I would like to see him face another chump to get his confidence back and just feel good in the ring again and then fight someone solid like Sosa, Mouse, or Branco

I think Paulie showed alot in this fight, he went to fight tried his best and it just wasnt enough. The kid can fight hands down. Hopefully he will be able to come back better becuase he did take a pretty bad beating. But his stock went up for sure in boxing.
